Beginning Website: EDU 675
I have begun working and creating my website and have had a few stumbling blocks along the way. I am having a problem adjusting the size of my font. When I type something it will not change to the size that I want it to, but instead gets super big. That is frustrating and has delayed my progress a little. On the positive side I am coming along with the page about our school in general and upcoming events. I do feel that there is so much information I want to include and may not have the time to put it all on until the beginning of school next year. I want to get the majority of it completed and then tweak it this summer. I am taking pictures tomorrow in class to include, which will make it much better and add much needed color to my site. Hopefully, I can get those uploaded tomorrow when I get home and continue working on my student and parent section. I also need to research some information on summer reading programs to include as well. I am enjoying the process as a whole though and it will be beneficial to me, my students, and parents when I am completed.

I have been having problems with this too. I find that I can not even change the font? Am I missing it? I am frustrated that we can only put some 5mg of pictures on the site and then we have to pay. I am hoping I can figure out how to add links and music!!!!!! For my first website I guess it is not too bad. My site address is http://kwillie.weebly.com I am not teaching but the marine in the picture is a friend of mine and I am honored to know someone who has given so much to this country. Have a nice night.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you have permission to use all kids photos. This was really important in my building.
ReplyDeleteTrial and Error are both good teachers if you are patient ;-) It's good that there is a little pressure to get something done but you don't have to go 'live' until next fall. For me the process of learning online, discovering new stuff, and figuring out how to get what I want is almost more important than the final product. Hope you are enjoying the journey.
